What is the Junior Auxiliary?
Junior Auxiliary is a national non-profit organization that represents a serious endeavor on the part of women to be active and constructive community participants and to assume leadership roles in meeting community needs. The Tate-Panola Chapter was chartered by a group of caring, enthusiastic women in 2005 and continues to grow and thrive throughout Tate and Panola Counties. Volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year on a variety of projects that focus on local children and families in need of assistance. Our members include women (over the age of 21) living within the Tate County and Northern Panola County area.
Tate-Panola is a part of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA), a non-profit organization founded in 1941 with Headquarters in Greenville, MS. NAJA has more than 14,000 active, associate and life members in 101 chapters in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas.
What does it cost?
Active member fees are $85.00 per year.
What are the hours? How long of a commitment?
Junior Auxiliary asks that members commit to a minimum of 5 years active membership following the 6 month Provisional membership period (Minimum commitment is 5.5 years). For the member to remain in good standing, a Member shall obtain a MINIMUM of 24 service hours, 12 education/meeting hours, 6 Finance/Fundraising hours, & 8 additional hours. Members shall earn at minimum a total of 50 hours per year. 6 Chapter Meetings must be attended each year.

What projects have the Tate-Panola Chapter's members participated in?
During the 2021 - 2022 year, the Tate-Panola Chapter supported community events such as Senatobia's Trunk or Treat, Five Star City Fest, and Movie in the Park nights.
Additionally, the Members of Tate-Panola coordinated and participated in Cinderella's Closet (prom dresses for students in need), Community Easter Egg Hunt, Nursing Home/Convalescent Center visits, Backpack Blessings, School Supplies/Nursing Supplies collection, and Nursing home supplies collection.
