Junior Auxiliary Plans Annual Stuff the Bus

Senatobia, Mississippi – The Junior Auxiliary of Tate-Panola is
excited to invite everyone to donate back to school and nursing
supplies for distribution among schools in our area this month.

Last year, donations from the community were enough to provide a box
of supplies each to 8 schools in the Senatobia, Tate, and North Panola
school districts. Members of the Junior Auxiliary of Tate – Panola are
confident that this year donations will increase. School supplies are
needed throughout the school year, but this initial collection allows
schools to start with a small surplus for those students who are
unable to complete their back-to-school lists.

Members of the chapter have teamed with Wal-Mart of Senatobia to
collect supplies from the community this month on July 28, 2012 from
9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. outside the entry area. Schools in our
community welcome a variety of donations, including hand sanitizer,
Neosporin, notebooks, wide-rule notebook paper, white glue, crayons,
pencils, folders with brads and pockets, Kleenex, Band-Aids, erasers,
child-size underwear packs, child-size socks, backpacks, etc. Monetary
donations received during this collection period are used to purchase
supplies not received on the collection day.

Junior Auxiliary of Tate-Panola, MS is a part of the National
Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA), a non-profit organization
founded in 1941 with headquarters in Greenville. NAJA has more than
13,500 active, associate, and life members in 101chapters in Alabama,
Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and
Texas. Junior Auxiliary of Tate-Panola, MS was chartered by a group of
caring, enthusiastic women in 2006 and continues to grow and thrive
throughout the Tate County and North Panola area. Volunteers work
tirelessly throughout the year on a variety of projects that focus on
local children and families in need of assistance.

The NAJA slogan is “Care Today – Character Tomorrow” and when teamed
with the current focus of the Association, Junior Auxiliary Chapters
are working more than ever before to increase awareness of child
health and welfare and how it affects their futures.
